Aqua Aerobics
We are thrilled to announce Lisa Brown will be joining us year round to offer Aqua Aerobics.
Aqua Aerobics classes are an opportunity to exercise in the pool to music while getting an aerobic and strengthening workout with low—to no-impact moves.
Water walking/jogging and specific aqua aerobic dance moves to work big muscles and strengthen core muscles.
Using tools like kickboards and pool floating weights to add resistance to the workout.
Fun music makes the time fly by while we get great exercise.
Participation
Aqua Fitness can be for all ages and abilities. (As with any exercise program, individuals should follow their doctor's or health care provider’s instructions to ensure their personal health and safety.) Pool shoes are suggested to enhance grip on the floor and counter the abrasion of the pool bottom (if applicable). Water, sunscreen, and a hat are recommended for summer outdoor classes.
Lisa Brown, instructor
Lisa Brown brings energy, experience, and awareness of people’s needs in the water to aqua fitness classes. She is IFTA and Red Cross certified. Lisa has been instructing or taking pool and studio classes since 1985, teaching in Dallas, Atlanta, and Washington, D.C. Her most recent teaching experiences are in Cary and Chapel Hill.
