Gonzo Arriagada
My tennis journey began in Spain, where I balanced computer programming studies with my love for the sport. This passion led me to Florida’s Grand Harbor Tennis Club, where I gained experience managing tournaments like the Vero Beach Classic.
Over five years, I developed coaching skills and tournament expertise, which I carried to North Carolina as Head Tennis Pro at Chapel Hill Tennis Club, introducing programs like cardio tennis and mentoring juniors, including a Southern Open champion. I later directed adult programs at Raleigh Racquet Club and founded a successful tennis academy at Brightleaf Club alongside my wife. Family priorities then led me to the Hope Valley YMCA, where I developed inclusive tennis programs for all ages and abilities.
Seeking greater flexibility, I transitioned to real estate and entrepreneurship while focusing on family life. Now, with a deep passion for tennis and leadership, I am excited to make a lasting impact in a vibrant tennis community.
